Thijs Veyfeyken is the Managing Director of Heveya.

“I’ve been with Heveya for close to a decade. As Managing Director, I oversee the broader growth and direction of the business across retail, operations, product development, and brand strategy. A big part of my role has been expanding the company internationally while ensuring we stay true to the values that built Heveya. For us, it has never just been about mattresses, but about helping people create better environments to rest, recover, and live well.

At a time when most mattress and bedding brands focus mainly on comfort or luxury, Heveya takes a more holistic approach centred around healthier sleep environments, natural materials, and conscious living. What started with organic latex mattresses has evolved into a broader eco-luxury sleep brand spanning bedding, bed frames, sleep accessories, and wellness-focused sleep spaces.

Today, Heveya has become one of Southeast Asia’s leading eco-luxury sleep wellness brands. We didn’t build just another mattress brand – we’ve helped shift the conversation around sleep to being a genuine necessity, not an afterthought. We wanted to encourage people to see sleep as something fundamental to health and wellbeing. More people are beginning to prioritise it, and I'm proud that Heveya has played a role in that shift.

One milestone that stands out for me is our expansion into Dubai, which introduced Heveya to a much wider international audience and opened the door to exciting partnerships and collaborations within the global wellness space. Another proud moment was achieving B Corp certification, reflecting the standards we hold ourselves to across sourcing, operations, and environmental responsibility.

What makes Heveya stand out is that we’ve always looked at sleep holistically. We think beyond mattresses and consider the entire sleep environment, from bedding and bed frames to temperature regulation, air quality, and the materials people surround themselves with every night.

One thing we are especially excited about is the upcoming relaunch of our flagship showroom in Tiong Bahru, which will reopen in August following a redesign inspired by the calm, natural atmosphere of our Bali showroom. The new space has been designed to feel warm, tactile, and restorative, with layered natural textures, soft linen drapings, earthy tones, and intentional material choices throughout.

More than a retail space, we want it to feel like an environment where people can slow down, reconnect with the idea of conscious rest, and experience how the spaces and materials around us can shape the way we feel each day. Everything in the space is there to bring the conversation back to what really matters: Rest that restores.”
