Ang Jin Yuan is the Founder & Creative Director and CEO, The Ivory Bridal and MUSE

“My business portfolio spans two brands: The Ivory Bridal (Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) and MUSE – each shaped by a belief that how a woman dresses for significant moments should feel considered, intentional, and reflective of who she is.

Prior to this, I founded an online fashion rental platform, Style Lease, in 2016, in response to a growing demand for more flexible access to occasionwear. That experience shaped my understanding of how modern women engage with fashion.

In 2019, The Ivory Bridal was launched to challenge a conventional, often transactional bridal experience. It has since evolved into a design-led platform that bridges international couture with the identity of the modern Asian bride, creating a space where brides feel both guided and understood.

The expansion into Kuala Lumpur in 2024 marked a shift into a cross-border operation, requiring not just replication, but a deeper level of leadership – building teams, systems, and culture while maintaining a consistent brand DNA.

This year, I launched MUSE. It represents a more personal extension of that perspective – an ‘anti-bride’ expression created for women who approach dressing with individuality and intent.

To date, over 2,500 brides have been dressed across Singapore and Malaysia, with the majority of growth driven by referrals. That trust has been built not just on the gowns themselves, but on the experience – how each bride is guided, supported, and seen through the process.

The Kuala Lumpur expansion of The Ivory Bridal marked a defining phase – moving from a founder-led boutique to a more structured, cross-border business, where leadership, systems, and team development became just as important as creative direction.

With MUSE, that perspective extends further – creating space for women who may not see themselves within traditional bridal, but still want to feel intentional in how they dress.

The next phase is about building something that goes beyond a business and into a community that supports women through this chapter of their lives. With over 2,500 brides served, there is a natural opportunity to create deeper connections that go beyond a single appointment or purchase.

At its core, the ambition is to build something that feels enduring – not just in how it looks, but in how it connects, supports, and stays with the women we serve.”
