“I’m the founder of Together Diamonds, a service that transforms a loved one’s hair, fur, or ashes into a certified lab-grown diamond and finished jewellery piece. For many of our customers, this comes during grief – after the loss of a family member or a beloved pet – and they’re looking for something lasting, personal, and dignified to keep close.
Previously, I built Apart.sg, which creates handcrafted keepsake jewellery infused with ashes, hair, fur, or even breastmilk. That work taught me a lot about how people process love, grief, and memory, and it shaped how we design the experience at Together Diamonds.
Memorial diamonds have existed for years, but families often face long waiting times, unclear specifications, and limited visibility into the creation process. We asked a simple but important question: If someone entrusts us with their loved one’s ashes, shouldn’t they be able to see what happens next?
At Together Diamonds, we built our foundation on four pillars:
Speed with integrity
While some established players quote significantly longer lead times, we streamlined our production process to achieve approximately a three-month turnaround – without compromising on quality.
Clear quality standards
We operate with defined specifications – colour, clarity, and cut – alongside transparent grading. Emotional value does not replace material standards.
Transparent pricing
We provide clear, upfront pricing structures so families are not navigating ambiguity during an already vulnerable time.
Process transparency through documentation
We are one of the very few brands in the region that documents the diamond creation process through video. From carbon extraction to crystal formation, families receive visual assurance of the transformation.
In this category, customers cannot independently verify whether the diamond they receive was truly created from the ashes entrusted to a company. That uncertainty has always existed in the industry. By documenting the process, we remove a layer of doubt and replace it with clarity. That decision required operational discipline and additional effort, but it reinforces the trust families place in us.
Because of this commitment to transparency, we’ve grown rapidly despite being one of the younger brands in the space. Today, much of our growth has been driven by word of mouth and verified five-star reviews.
In the future, I believe that people will look for more personal, lasting ways to honour a loved one beyond traditional memorial items. Memorial diamonds are still relatively new in Asia, and the category will grow as awareness grows.
We’re also building a brand that can scale while staying sensitive. We’re expanding through carefully chosen partnerships so families can access our service through trusted local touchpoints, while keeping the same quality and care.
Ultimately, my goal is to redefine what ‘forever’ looks like after loss: Not by replacing grief, but by giving love a form that lasts.”
