A one-of-a-kind car that delivers the design, performance and ultimate pleasure you’d expect to find in a Maserati super sports car.

Maserati has a new offering on the block: MC20 Cielo. The MC stands for “Maserati Corse” (Maserati Racing) while the number 20 refers to 2020, the year Maserati introduced the new sports car. Cielo, which means “sky” in Italian, is the perfect name for this cabrio as it is a model devoted to driving in the great outdoors, while maintaining all the features of a fun-to-drive Italian coupé.

The car’s unique and stunning  glass roof is equipped with state-of-the-art electrochromic smart glass and uses Polymer-Dispersed Liquid Crystal (PDLC) technology that can instantly be transformed from clear to opaque at the touch of a button. In the closed position, the glass roof offers excellent thermal insulation; opening or closing this advanced roof takes a scant 12 seconds.

The MC20 Cielo represents the pinnacle of Italian engineering and design. As well as its outstanding weight-to-power ratio, the carbon fiber chassis (the same for all three configurations to come: coupé, spyder and the future electric version) also guarantees uncompromising torsional rigidity, which provides extraordinary handling on the highway or on the track.

The MC20 was also designed with revolutionary butterfly doors. The doors provide for a much easier access into and out of the cabin, as well as showing off the carbon fibre cockpit and the completely unmasked front wheel.

The new model also adds a wide range of Active Safety Systems, including parking sensors, a rear-view camera and blind spot monitoring. The current version of the new spyder introduces an autonomous emergency brake, traffic sign information detection and a new 360° camera.

The launch edition of the MC20 is now available in a new mesmerizing paint that is exclusive for the Cielo. Maserati calls this special color “Acquamarina”. The iridescent light blue color perfectly epitomises the new Cielo as it reflects the moving sky and shimmering sea that are always restless and on the move.

The unique Acquamarina finish is created by carefully applying three layers of a special shimmering metallic paint. This amazing car finish is available as part of Maserati's Fuoriserie customisation programme.

Maserati’s MC20 Cielo spyder is a marvel of design and engineering. You might say Maserati ’s designers and engineers looked up towards the sky when developing this super sports car. Whatever their inspiration, it’s certain the MC20 represents a rolling slice of heaven on the world’s roads.
