It was an evening that celebrated the spirit of enterprise, innovation, and purpose as Ms Chin Wei Jia, Group CEO of HMI Medical, was named EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2025 Singapore. Announced at the awards gala on 17 October, graced by Minister for National Development, Mr Chee Hong Tat, the accolade recognises outstanding leaders who redefine industries while creating positive impact in their communities.

Ms Chin, who also received the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year – Health Care award, will represent Singapore at the EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year 2026 in Monte Carlo. Under her leadership, HMI has evolved from a two-hospital group into a regional integrated healthcare organisation focused on preventive health, health tech, and community outreach. “Entrepreneurship has always been about serving with purpose and using business as a force for good,” she shared.

Other category winners were Mr Patrick Cheo, CEO of Adam Khoo Learning Technologies Group (Education Services); Mr Kelvin Lim, Executive Chairman and Group Managing Director of LHN Group (Real Estate); and Ms Carolyn Choo, CEO and Managing Director of Worldwide Hotels (Hospitality Services).

EY also presented two honorary awards: The EY-Bank of Singapore Family Enterprise Award of Excellence to HMI Medical, and the EY-Bank of Singapore ASEAN Entrepreneurial Excellence Award to Mrs. Thai Huong, Founder and Chairwoman of TH Group Joint Stock Company in Vietnam.

Now in its 24th year, the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year awards continue to recognise and nurture exceptional entrepreneurs who transform industries, uplift communities, and inspire future generations to build a better working world.
