Balenciaga, the famed French fashion house, has built a rich history over the decades, as well as a reputation for it's unorthodox approach to fashion and looking to unexpected sources of inspiration for their offerings. This brand identity is perhaps what has gotten them their success over the years.

However, the brand has been talked about excessively online for the launch of their new Arena Extra-Large Shopper Tote Bag (above). The Internet has been left scratching their heads with regards to the $2,145 bag that bears a striking resemblance to IKEA's "FRAKTA" — which goes for a mere 99 cents. Could this be a simple design oversight or a stroke of marketing genius from the Demna Gvasalia team? Whatever it is, bad publicity is better than no publicity.
