Swatch brings an AI-powered design experience to Milan Design Week, inviting visitors to co-create personalised timepieces in minutes.

At this year’s Milan Design Week, Swatch introduces a new dimension of creativity with the launch of its AI-DADA Lab, an immersive showcase that blends technology, art, and design. Set within Milan’s vibrant Tortona district, the space invites visitors to explore the brand’s creative universe through a contemporary lens.

The experience unfolds as a journey through Swatch’s decades of design heritage, featuring archival pieces alongside works by artists from the Swatch Art Peace Hotel. Together, they offer insight into the visual and conceptual influences that have shaped AI-DADA, the brand’s new artificial intelligence-powered design tool.

At the heart of the installation is an interactive zone where visitors can generate their own watch designs using simple text prompts. Within minutes, AI-DADA translates words into fully realised designs, removing traditional barriers to entry and opening up the creative process to anyone, regardless of experience. The result is a highly personalised approach to watchmaking, where individuality and spontaneity take centre stage.

Running from 20 to 26 April in Milan, the AI-DADA Lab reflects Swatch’s longstanding commitment to innovation and artistic collaboration. Since its founding in 1983, the brand has consistently pushed the boundaries of design, aligning itself with cultural movements and creative communities around the world.
