A Higher Perspective: Mandrin Oriental, Singapore's Suites With A View

Occupying the hotel’s two uppermost floors, Mandarin Oriental, Singapore’s signature suites offer generous residential spaces, sweeping views, and considered Singaporean touches.

Located across the property’s two uppermost floors, Mandarin Oriental, Singapore’s signature suites offer a bird’s-eye view of some of the city’s most iconic sights.

Following an extensive transformation in 2023 led by Principal Designer Jeffrey Wilkes of internationally acclaimed interior design firm DESIGNWILKES, the hotel’s classic interiors have been reimagined with colours and references drawn from Singapore. Peranakan-style architecture, colonial black-and-white houses, and the tropical warmth and greenery of Angsana trees all feature in the design, giving the suites a distinctly local character.

At 393 sqm (4,230 sq ft), the four-bedroom Royal Marina Bay Penthouse is the hotel’s most luxurious suite. Located on the uppermost floor, it makes the most of its elevated position with 180-degree panoramic views of Singapore’s skyline and Marina Bay, with the sea visible from every vantage point. Despite its considerable scale, the suite has been designed to feel residential and inviting, combining rich timbers and neutral upholstery with accents of teal and gold.

Panoramic windows bring the cityscape into the living spaces, while an expansive private balcony offers uninterrupted views of the skyline. Comfort is equally central to the design, with each of the four bedrooms featuring an ensuite bathroom, including a master bathroom with a jacuzzi. A spacious living room provides plenty of space to settle in, while the chef’s kitchen and dining room, which accommodates up to 10 people, offer the option of arranging a private dining experience.

One floor below, the three-bedroom Presidential Suite spans 246 sqm (2,637 sq ft) and carries the same residential approach. Floor-to-ceiling windows and a private balcony once again place the city views at the heart of the experience, while warm wood, neutral upholstery and hints of blue and gold give the interiors a contemporary feel.

Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, including a master bathroom with a jacuzzi, while the spacious living room leads into a dining room that can accommodate up to eight people. A chef’s kitchen also allows guests to arrange a private in-room dining experience.

Beyond the suites themselves, guests staying in either signature suite have access to HAUS 65, Mandarin Oriental, Singapore’s sophisticated club lounge. Complete with an exclusive library, wine room, and lounge areas, it provides a more intimate setting away from the hotel’s other public spaces.

Together, the signature suites combine generous residential spaces, contemporary interiors and expansive views, with subtle Singaporean references woven throughout. More than simply places to stay, they offer a considered perspective on the city, with its skyline taking centre stage.
